Becoming The Love You Want

We have this yearning, yearning for love, and many people don’t feel like they’re getting the love that they want – and they are going to come up with all kinds of reasons why they don’t have it. “It’s my partner’s fault” or “There are no good men out there”, “There are no good women” or “All of them are taken”. Sometimes it is even, “I feel too broken” or “too damaged" or “I can’t trust” and that’s a little closer to the truth. Whatever the reasons that we come up with, we still have the yearning. It doesn’t go away.

The truth is gonna sting a little. But it is something that needs to be said. I’m just gonna give it to you straight – the number one reason that you’re not getting the love that you want right now is YOU!

The number one reason is you. If you are not getting the love you want, it’s likely that it’s because your own personal self-love is lacking. Some people will say “I love myself, I have great confidence”. Even my close friends will tell me “you must love yourself so much” and yes, I do. But it’s a daily fucking practice, and it’s not something that comes naturally to many of us.
